PM Narendra Modi’s wife Jashodaben got injured when she met with an accident in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh on Wednesday.

AHMEDABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s wife Jasodaben was injured and the driver of the car she was in killed in a road accident that occurred on the Kota-Chittorgarh four-lane road near Begu, Rajasthan, on Wednesday morning.

According to sources, Jasodaben was travelling from Atru in Bara towards Udaipur when their car hit a trailer truck around 10 am.

“Jasodaben has sustained some minor injuries and is out of danger. She has been admitted to district hospital Chittorgarh. A case will be registered again the unidentified truck driver,” said Rajesh Rajora, Circle Officer, Begrun.

Jashodaben is a retired school teacher who lives in Brahmanwada, a village about 35km from Modi’s hometown, Vadnagar.
